The Tapestry of Surrender

A Life Laid Bare

At the Last Judgment, I knelt before God as an Angel stitched together the squares of my life into a tapestry. Unlike others’ vibrant quilts, mine was threadbare—marked with gaping holes from hardships endured: illness, loss, betrayals, and relentless trials that left me starting over again and again.

The Shame of Comparison

Around me, others displayed tapestries rich with worldly success, their holes few and small. My face burned with shame as I lifted my ragged cloth—until gasps filled the air. Light poured through my holes, revealing an astonishing image: the face of Christ.

The Divine Alchemy

Jesus stepped forward, His eyes full of love: “Each time you surrendered your pain to Me, those holes became spaces for My light. Your struggles were My own. Where you felt broken, I shone brightest.”

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
—2 Corinthians 12:9

Welcome Home

What the world saw as failure, God had woven into redemption. Every tear, every desperate prayer, every humiliating fall—each became a brushstroke of divine glory. The very voids I lamented were the places Christ’s radiance blazed through unhindered.

Your Tapestry Too

If your life feels frayed and hollow, take courage: God uses our wounds as windows. When we yield our scars to Him, He transforms them into a masterpiece the angels lean in to behold.
